The WNBA playoffs are set to commence on Sunday, September 27. After each of the 15 WNBA franchises has played 44 regular-season games, it’s all boiled down to eight teams fighting for arguably the biggest prize in Women’s pro basketball.
The WNBA playoffs kicked off on Sunday, featuring Game 1 of all four opening-round matchups. Three of those four games were lopsided, with the No. 3 Las Vegas Aces beating the No. 6 Indiana Fever 102-85,
Indiana averages 26.4 3-point attempts per game and took 28 against the Mystics. The Fever commit 14.4 turnovers per game and coughed up the ball only 13 times Sunday. The defeat was a function of poor shooting, but that’s because Washington forced the Fever into a series of tough shots.
